Whenever you are experiencing restricted movement, poor alignment of the body or any deformities that have prevailed from birth, you can contact an orthopaedic doctor such as doctor Asaid for treatment. There are many rehabilitative methods that are used in orthopaedics along with surgery for severe issues. Orthopaedic doctors have a depth of medical knowledge to correct any issues associated with the musculoskeletal system. Some of the diseases and conditions they deal with are fractures, scoliosis, arthritis, dislocated joints, osteoporosis and cerebral palsy.

Orthopaedic doctors will also provide rehabilitative treatment for certain serious long term injuries. Surgical procedures are the last resort that an orthopaedic doctor will use. These surgeries can be joint implants or replacements. Some of the common issues related to bones that an orthopaedic doctor will treat are bone tumours, infections, deformities of the bones, amputation and spinal deformities.  There are also joint issues such as bursitis, arthritis, dislocation, ligament tears and joint pain. You may notice certain issues of the foot or hand that will need the attention of an orthopaedic doctor. There can be fractures, bunions, heel pain, deformities and fasciitis when considering the foot. There are also many spinal issues such as scoliosis, fractures, herniated discs, spinal tumours and spinal cord injuries. Orthopaedic doctors use a variety of equipment and scans to diagnose issues and select the right treatment. These are bone scans, X-rays, discography, MRIs and CT scans. In certain situations medicine such as corticosteroids is injected to ligaments, joints, tendons etc. for treatment. Some treatments can be rehabilitative and will need the patient to take sufficient rest. There is physical therapy involved as well. Surgery is used for joint infusion, arthroscopy, joint replacement, hammer toe repair, cartilage repair and repair of torn ligaments. There are different types of spinal surgery as well such as laminectomy, spinal fusion, discectomy etc. There are also minimally invasive surgical procedures depending on the extent of the issue.
